Abstract

This article intends to discuss unethical behavior in economic activities and financial dealings. What are the types, effects and remedies in an Islamic welfare state? It elaborates various aspects of corruption in individual economic activity, collective economic activity, commercial activities and professional activities. It is the utmost need of time to address this issue bringing the economic disorder back to the required balance desired by Islam. This paper mentioned four classes, their effects and solution for Islamic economics. It finds that the beginning of the renaissance should be from the individuals. Religious values have to be revived considering the consciousness of people to encourage small business. It suggests reactivation of the zakat system, teamwork and scientific research is to be adopted preferably. All hurdles and obstacles should be removed to exercise Islamic economics and to ensure the research coordination among Islamic Economic centres and activation of the Islamic propagation to bring others to its light. The welfare state must launch punitive measures against white-collar crimes and all responsible factors of the economic shortfall.
