Abstract
The Anjuman-e-Taraqqi Pusund Mussanifin or Progressive Writers' Movement is the most prominent movement in the history f Urdu literature. The progressives contributed some of the finest pieces of fiction and poetry. The writers gave the message of dignity of man as well as humanitarianism. Prem Chund, Baidi, Krishn Chundur, Ghulam Abbas, Qasmi and other fiction writers depicted the real picture of life. In this article it is explained how these writers aroused the aspect of humanitarianism.
