Abstract
A myth is any traditional story consisting of evevts that are ostensibly historical,though often supernatural,explaining the origins of cultural practice or natural phenomenon.urdu literature, deeply influnced by islamic and Hindu myths. We can not understand the literature like aag ka drya s first portion and most of intzar hussain s short stories untill we have knowledge about myth.In urdu poems,poet also use myths /asateer.A myth is a sacred narrative because it holds religious or spiritual significance for those who telll it.
