Abstract
Maulana Roomi and his "Masnavi e Maanvi is a phenomena in Persian language. These have affected the thinking and spirituality all over the Muslim world. Allama Iqbal called Molana Roomi as his Murshad and sought guidance from him in his journey through the poetical worlds. Many books have been written about Maulana Roomi and the significance of his masnavi. The Book under review is "Beshnoo" the command word which is the first word of the masnavi. This book introduces the poetry and philosophy of Maulana Roomi in three languages, i.e. Urdu, English and Persian. Dr. Ashraf in this article analyses this book.
