Abstract
Gabriel García Márquez's novel One Hundred Years of Solitude is a literary masterpiece, brimming with a wealth of concepts and profound insights. This iconic work has been translated into numerous languages across the globe. In Urdu, Zeenat Hussain and Naeem Klasra have rendered this masterpiece with remarkable linguistic finesse, selecting the most fitting words to convey its essence. However, the distinct approaches of the two translators become evident, highlighting differences shaped by their individual perspectives and literary backgrounds. While both translations demonstrate exceptional skill and craftsmanship, variations in style, word choice, and tone result in noticeable distinctions, offering readers unique interpretations of Márquez's magnum opus.
