Abstract

"Curriculum is the key to gain targeted goals of study. It plays most significant and vital role to ensures the future progress of a nation and state. Therefore, while designing curriculum, it is mandatory that it should fulfill and meet the challenges of cognitive developments and requirement of students at any level. Urdu is national language of Pakistan but other mother language like Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi and Pashto are also present there. Therefore, it was necessary to design the Urdu curriculum at secondary level in such a way that it meets all the requirements of students, but unfortunately, it is not designed according to the said aspects and cognitive domains of students. In this article, the practical teaching and studying problems of present curriculum of Punjab Text Book Board for Secondary School Level are discussed."
