Abstract
Semantic is considered an important branch of linguistics. It deals with the meanings of the words as well as thought and behavior. Meanings of a linguistic form could be defined by the situation in which speaker utters and by the response of the hearer. Lexical semantics presents the sense relations of words e.g. senonymy, autonomy, hyponymy and meronymy. It also focuses on meanings that hold between parts of sentences in terms of roles on issues of paraphrases, entailment, presupposition, and propositional meanings.
