Abstract
Asmat Chughtai is included in the parade of progressive writers. She tried her hand in prose including fiction, drama, novel, caricature/ sketch writing and memoir. Her themes were such that even the male writers did not dare to venture on. Subjects such as social inequalities, sexuality, psychology, gender disparity were her favourite. In this thesis an attempt has been made to encompass the craft of Asmat Chughtai.
