Abstract
Allah Almighty has subjugated all the blessings of this universe to man.Its upto man to decide how to use them. Poets have taken consumerism from many angles.Apart from the transaction of wealth, it is also the transaction of passions, love, values etc. Where there is a purchase of worldly goods, there is also a bargain of loyality, sincerity and love etc. Sometimes the prices are high that it cannot be paid and sometimes the deal is done at a glance of the beloved. This article attempts to give an overview of the poet's concept of consumerism.
