Abstract
Mir Taqi Mir was a poet and writer of Urdu (Rekhta) and Persian. There is no doubt that he was one of the poineer of Urdu poetry and language, when urdu language and urdu poetry was at a formative stage. He is also the first writer of biographical dictionary of urdu poets of his era, written in persian . He spent his whole life in the service of kings, nawabs and lords. So according to the rules of that period Mir Taqi Mir was an Army man and he accomplished his duties. He spent his often time in the battlefield. In subject article there'll be explained and clarified the Military services of Mir Taqi Mir.
