Abstract
Progressive Movement in Urdu was the consequence of tyrannous social and economic setup of Sub-Continent. Under its influences many subjective changes occured in urdu literature. specially Short-Story moved towards it. Karishan Chandar was amongst first story writers of urdu who successfully depicted the problems, complexities and diversities of common man in his short stories. This article is an effort to point out his work and position under progressive movement.
