Abstract
Noon Meem Rashid has served as a captain in army. Basically he was a poet (nazm goo shair) but he has also come up with some excellent prose writings. He is a prolific prose writer with a unique style of his own. In his articles we find the diversity of subjects and novel ideas. He was one of the founders of modern nazm but revolting against the poetic traditions he experimented new forms and techniques in field of modern poetry. It is pity that critics did not pay the due attention to his critical thoughts. His essays aptly reflect fertility of his art as a prose writer.
