Abstract
Urdu is not only the national language of Pakistan but it also serves as a lingua franca in the whole region of Sub- Continent. 21st century is a challenging era for all the languages including Urdu as information technology has effected every walk of life. In this article an analytical study has been brought forward regarding the challenges being faced by Urdu language and literature in the prevailing situation of 21st century.
