Abstract
In the 21st century, our world has turned into a global village. Without a language, people from different nations cannot connect to each other. Though English has hegemony in international sphere, we have to maintain the spirit of our national language Urdu and its a need of the hour to modernise it to the international standards. The challenges to Urdu in the current scenario are analysed in this article. Further the work is done to promote it to international parameters in the changing times is discussed as well.
