Abstract
This article attempts to analyze Iqbal-e-Kaamil, the creation of Maulana Abdus Salam Nadwi, published in 1948. The book deals with the life history, philosophy, ideology, poetry, prose and almost each and every aspect of the universal poet, Iqbal. It is not only a biography of Iqbal but a portrayal of him as an artist. The writer has discussed Urdu and Persian poetry of Iqbal and given a critique of some of the best of his couplets. Apart from it, certain topics of his poetry like Ego/the Self, loss of the Self, nation, politics and fine arts have been reviewed. This book holds a great significance to understand the creative work of Iqbal. It is a compact study of the personality and writings of Iqbal. To sum up, this article establishes that this book is a comprehensive work on Iqbal.
