Abstract
Ghalib belongs to the classical period of Urdu poetry. This was a period when the appreciation and enjoyment of poetry was a cultural phenomenan of the Sub-continent. The poets read their creations and informed the audience verbally about them. There was no fashion to give composition a title. The Cult of reading poetry was introduced later by the advent of printing press and Journals when the Titles became necessary. In this research paper Dr. Samina Nadeem has studied this aspect of Ghalib's "Urdu Qataat" and presented her findings.
