Abstract
Dr. Allama M. Iqbal made a tremendous effort for the renaissance of religious thoughts of Muslims. He was worried about the decreasing and fading religious as well as moral values of Muslims. The reason behind was that not only in India but also all over the world, Muslims were being affected by the teaching, interpretations and industrial revolutions of the West. Therefore, to give them the new and better interpretation of Islam, he delivered his seven sermons which were later on printed under the title of "The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam". This article throws light over sermons and also focuses on the explanatory studies of the first sermon "Knowledge and Religious Experience" through comparative analysis.
