Abstract
Jagan Nath Azad was a renowned Urdu poet, writer and academician. He wrote many books on different aspects of Urdu literature. Azad earned fame especially in Iqbal studies. He was an acclaimed authority on the life of Allama Iqbal. His Urdu and English books on Iqbal are recognised as the "definitive references" in urdu world. In this article it is stated that Azad was one of the most respectful and noteable name in Iqbal studies.
