Abstract


Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the great poet, thinker and philosopher. In the first four decades of 20th century, through his poetry in Urdu, Persian and prose in English, he motivated the youth of the subcontinent and the Islamic world. During his life time, he was called the Poet of the East and the philosopher of Islam. He was a firm beliver in Islam. He was a poet of Persian and Urdu languages. Iqbal was well versed both western and eastern philosophy. He said that muslims of all over the world is a nation and no geographically or regional differences. He had true and real love with Islam, and his poems reflect and prove the fact of devotion with Islam. He is regarded and renowned as “The poet of the East” due to his motivational poetry. He is one of the most brilliant poets of Indo-Pakistan subcontinent.
