Abstract
Faiz Ahmed Faiz holds a chief and primary status in Urdu Literature."Naqsh-e-Faryaadi", his first poetry collection, proved to set a milestone in his career as a poet, as it depicts both romantic and bitter realities of life. This essay focuses on the changes in his poetic thoughts, philosophy and ideology along with the reasons behind them. Furthermore, the focus revolves around the new look, by Faiz, to poignancy of concept and imagery of love that later became a strong tradition in Urdu poetry. The importance and status of "Naqsh-e-Faryadi" sheds light on the new image. The essay also depicts the same manifestation which is the need of present era.
