Abstract
This research paper titled "Pakistani Urdu Short Story and Search for National identity" have analyzed the Urdu short story since 1947 till day. This reference is a national identification. In this regard, the different perspectives, trends and dictions have been studied and gone through minutely. This article is a successful attempt of searching the milestones of national identification in Urdu short story written after independence. However, this study and analysis somehow or the other takes into account the Urdu short story written before 1947.
