Abstract
Urdu literature has been playing a vital role in Pakistan since 1947. It has given importance to justice, education and tolerance. Literature has a deep relationship with society. When a society gets a status then its literature also gains importance. In this research article an effort has been made to show the deep relationship between a society and its literature. Literature can lead a society towards improvement and social justice. Writers of literature are vital charactrers of any society. They not only lead a society in all circumstances but aslo fix a target to achieve for a nation. Deterioration and conflict prevailing in our society is due to the lack of tolerance. This menace can be cured by the help of literature. For this purpose our critics and writers are ready to play this role for the betterment of our nation.
