Abstract
Colonial system affected the whole world. Wherever the colonialists went, they imposed their laws, social norms and political rule on the inhabitants of that territory. On account of these steps, exploitation of the local population occurred. Only a few of the Pakistani novelists have touched this subject and Ali Akbar is one of such novelists. In this article under discussion, with reference to Ali Akbar Natiq’s novel “Naulakhi Kothi”, it has been mentioned how the novelist has displayed the scenes of the exploitation of the local people and how the vices of the colonial system have been brought out. This novel carries such features of colonial imperialism whose awareness should necessarily be given to the coming generations.
