Abstract
This research paper is a detailed study about the classification of Urdu Alphabets. The basic signs of each language are represented through alphabet. The whole fabric and structure of every language are built around the alphabet of that language. These alphabet determine the tone and standard of a language. Whenever a child starts the learning of a language, seeks foundation from these alphabet. The exact number and order of urdu alphabet have always remained a contraversial issue amont the experts. Particularly 10 alphabet of urdu could not find agreed upon consensus among the linguists. Opinion of different linguists have been discussed in this paper about the exact number and classification of urdu alphabet.
