Compatibility of Exegetical Differences in the Light of Surah Al-Fatiḥa and Surah Al-Baqarah

Abstract

The Holy Qur’ān has been revealed upon  the last Prophet Muḥammad (SAW). The Qur’ān is the embodiment of guidance, and Tafsīr is always a lighthouse for further understanding and clarity. One, therefore, cannot live without Tafsīr-al-Qur’ān. There are various ways to do Tafsīr and different scholars keeping in view their methodogical paradigm and eras, have done so in their particular ways and styles. This kind of variation resulted into contradictions in the views. Consequently, a common reader gets confused whenever he reads the variety in the Tafsīr. He takes the whole thing full of errors and contradictions. As the text is same, the contradictions in Tafsīr evolve doubt and confusions that is to be setteled and handled. Thus, the present study is about the contradictions in Tafsīr and the solutions. It embodies the reality of the contradictions in Tafsīr and expresses the ways of bridging the gaps among them. Examples have been given to elaborate the concept. It can be concluded
