Abstract

The land of the subcontinent has given birth to a very prestigious and proudable persons, but there are some of them whose scholarly, spiritual, intellectual and innovative achievements have profound universal impacts on the Islamic world in general and the subcontinent in particular. Shah Waliullah's unique career is also one of these perfect and versatile personalities. In this article, his scholarly achievements and his unique qualities have been discussed and analyzed. His thoughts have been extracted from his books on the theme of Jurisprudence and Islamic spiritualism. His essence is a beacon of light for the pathfinders of  cognition, while he is no less than a monastic lamp for the scholars. Shah Waliullah was undoubtedly a genius of his time.
