Abstract

An Islamic welfare state is based on certain unshakeable principles. These principles are applicable to all citizens of the state. The Holy Quran gave the concept of an Islamic welfare state and the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) implemented this idea in the form of the state of Medina. In establishing an Islamic welfare state, the rights of all citizens, both Muslim and non-Muslim, are guarded. Everyone has religious freedom. The rights of no one are violated. If a state keeps priorities other than these and ignores Islamic principles, it cannot be called an Islamic welfare state. For the establishment of an Islamic welfare state, the moral and cultural training of people is also needed. It is also a hallmark of an Islamic welfare state that it has a system for prayers and zakat. Pakistan is the only country in the Islamic world that has nuclear capability. In order to make this country an Islamic welfare state, the principles of Holy Quran and sunnah should be implemented so that Pakistani people can prosper. This article presents the research on the basic principles of an Islamic welfare state concisely.
