Abstract

The issue of destiny has been important in theology. There is a vast difference between the prevailing meaning of destiny and the one prescribed by the Holy Qur'an. Allah Almighty says: "And the sun always moves towards its destination. This is the destiny of the All-mighty, the All-knowing "(Yaseen: 38). In addition to destiny, the word Qaza is also present in the Hadith. Due to the lack of understanding of the meaning of the word Taqdeer (تقدیر), sects like Jabariya and Qadariya were created. Allāmah Iqbāl The traditional meaning of destiny, which is defined as luck, is harsh criticism. The soul of his philosophy is 'Self'. If the traditional meaning of destiny would be taken, then the philosophy of self-determination would be over. 'In the eyes of Allāmah, this universe is Adam's working life, in which he has to bring all his possibilities and strengths into action. Every individual is a responsible being. He has to carry the burden of his action. For Allāmah, the universe is still immortal. Destiny refers to the time that is yet to be revealed in the future. Allāmah believes that Allah's knowledge of the future is in the form of possibilities and destinies that are endless, but man has to use his possibilities in this universe
