Interpretation of Sacred Text by Ashab Al-Ray and their Legal Services Regarding Contemporary Era

Abstract

In early ages of Islam two major methods appeared, literal and liberal, for the comprehension of the Quranic text. Leaders of four jurisprudence schools of thought were called Ashab-ul-Rai due to their vast interpretation of Quranic verses facing various challenges. Imam Abu Hanifa was a greatest scholar among them. He served Muslim Umma in many ways. He was the best legislator having impact factor research and a clear mind scholastic philosopher. He trained lawyers so he was able to prepare a non government law making organization. All of them were specialist and technocrate in their fields. During the legislation Quranic verses were his first priority in evidence. He also preffered the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in judgement and dicision making. He belonged to city Kufa that was a knowledge valley. Due to his best performance and his pupils’ active judiciary fiqh Hanfi remained official constitution of Muslim empires for twelve centuries. Now a days his followers are facing more political and financial problems by enemis more than other Muslims. They are natural and experienced leaders and when they will become united and awake up uma will rise and renaissance of Muslims will be started, inshaAllah.
