Abstract

The basics of research is a very important issue in Islam. Its meaning in Islam is very clear such as truth or struggle for truth. There is need that basics of reach can be define under the concept of the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Research paper covers the topic under four important aspects which are mentioned in the verses of The Holy Quran, its order and compilation in different Para’s, examples given by The Holy Quran and the sayings of the Holy Prophet(PBUH) and references taken from various religious scholars.It has been tried to prove the significance and value of research work through all the above mentioned authentic and reliable resources. The Holy Quran has stressed a lot on meditation, research, exploration and discovery of the universe and the whole world. The Holy Quran has enlightened the importance of research through examples related to various Prophets of Allah Almighty.Hadiths of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) also pave a way for us to explore and research in every matter of life. The Holy Prophet's (PBUH) companions also adopted the method of research in compilation of Hadiths and Shariyah. Even the reporters of Hadiths were also investigated for their authenticity.  
The Islamic scholars who concluded Islamic issues from the Holy Quran and Sunnah also investigated and adopted different methods of research so we can come to know the importance of research in all issues of life and The Holy Qura’n has given us the basic principles and practical examples of all kind of research.
