Abstract

Islam is a cosmopolitan religion. Its sublimity is in its acceptability and absorption. With ever passing days, the problems and resources are going to pile up and changing the individual life. The acceptance or rejection is based upon the considered opinion of the learned scholars. If consensus is developed on certain issue, then it is obligatory upon the Ummah to abide by. All the four schools of jurisprudence have discussed this issue. Difference of opinion is there. Sadr al-shariah's view is unique among the Hanafite scholars. In this article, Sadr al-shariah's views regarding consensus have been highlighted.
