Abstract

Dr. Muhammad Sarfreaz Naeemi was a renowned scholar of Indo-Pakistan. He belonged to a famous religious family and received his early education from Islamic Madrassah. Later on, he passed his Masters in Islamic Studies and Arabic Language with distinction from University of the Punjab. He also got L.L.B. degree from the same University. Moreover, he obtained Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Azhar from University of the Punjab. He tried his best to create harmony among the various sects of Muslims and became popular among all of them. He was speaker and writer of first rank, and wrote various articles to achieve this goal. Besides of all these activities, he was among one of the best teachers of Jamia Naeemia and gave proper time to his students. He died in a suicidal attack and was buried in Jamia Naeemia beside of his father. In this article, his life and achievements have been highlighted.
