Abstract

The Islamic concept of punishment is comprehensive as it fulfills all needs of human society. When we study the Islamic concept of punishments thoroughly we come to know that in Islamic criminal law the intensity of punishment lies on the intensity of the crime. The crimes which can be harmful for the human society Islam suggests severe punishments for them. The safety of wealth, health, lives, generations, honor of every human being is its priority.
If these punishments will not be practiced the results can be horrible and it will affect not only the individuals but the whole state as well. Islam protects the basic human rights and offers the punishments to protect them and also for the reformation and rehabilitation of the culprits.
