SCHOLARLY ANALYSIS OF SUFIA-E-KHĀM AND ULMĀ-E-SU IN PERSPECTIVE OF KASHF-UL-MAHJOOB

Abstract

Syed Ali Hajveri has analysed the shortcomings of Sufia-e-Khām and Ulmā-e-Su in his universally renowned book Kashf-ul-Mahjoob and has persuaded to avoid from those shortcomings. Laziness, superiority of the self, wish for status, desire for higher spiritual status without knowledge and practice, accumulation of wealth, having no guide are the drawbacks of Sufia-e-Kham. Search for easiness in Shariah, submission to the rulers, so-called ecstasy, insulting behavior to the spiritual scholars, envy and jealousy have been mentioned as the characherts of the astray scholars. Syed Ali Hajveri has argued to refrain from obedience, company and their elapses of Sufiā-e-Khām (Naïve Spiritual Scholars) and Ulmā-e-Su (Diverged Religious Scholars)
