FOUNDATIONS OF ISLAMIC WELFARE STATE IN THE LIGHT OF SIRAH

Abstract

A welfare state is the need of every era as it provides all the basic needs to its citizens. The question arises what are the foundations of Islamic state? in this article,    These foundations have been presented in the light of Sirah of the prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Recommendations have also been formulated at the end of the article. The basic foundation of Islamic state is faith on almighty Allah and the basic guide is Qura’n and Sunnah. The Holy Prophet ﷺ and his companions made this state sovereign, prosperous and welfare. Faith, rule of law, social justice, security, defense and welfare of the people are the foundations of the Islamic welfare state.
